ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION OF
NOWATA AND PROGUARD FILTRATION
Amsterdam, The Netherlands. January
8, 2007 – Amafiltergroup, BV
today announced that it has acquired
the operations of NMW, Inc, a privately-owned manufacturer of filter
housings and backwashable filtration systems for the oil and gas,
chemical and petrochemical industries. NMW, Inc. located in Nowata,
Oklahoma, markets its products under the Nowata Filtration and
ProGuard Filtration brand names. The company’s products have gained
a worldwide reputation for critical performance in extremely
demanding applications. The terms of the transaction were not
disclosed.
Andrea Davi, Amafiltergroup’s Chairman and CEO, said, “Nowata
produces critical process filters used in the manufacture of
chemicals for a variety of industries. The company’s customers
include some of the world’s largest chemical, oil and gas and
refinery companies. We are very excited about being able to add
Nowata’s products to our existing range of precision filter products
so that we can offer total solutions to our customer’s filtration
requirements. Nowata Filtration is also critical to
Amafiltergroup’s geographic expansion in the Western Hemisphere. We
believe we will be able to provide higher levels of service to our
existing customers in the Western Hemisphere by offering local
manufacturing and service.”
